How to unlock the device and reset it to factory settings?

  1. The device must be powered on (engine running).
  2. Disconnect the ethanol sensor connector. This activate fault code « ethanol sensor not connected ».
  3. In this fault state, the device can be unlocked using the password « 8585 ».
  4. Once unlocked, the device can be reset to factory settings.

After unlocking the password protection can be disabled in eFlexTuner:

  1. Connect to the device
  2. From the menu, select Device → "Toggle tune lock"
  3. A window will open → enter password 8585 and uncheck the option « Lock tune using password »
  4. Click OK
  5. Disconnect the device.

Otherwise, the app will lock again after restart.
